Lo density bags are recommended for sharper objects under rough transport conditions in foodservice and restaurants. Known as LLDPE, Linear Low Density bags have excellent resistance to punctures and tearing which saves you a lot of headache at the end of the night in a busy restaurant. The last thing you want is to be cleaning up spilled garbage and leaks on the floor. These liners are very strong and more resistant to tearing, but handle lower load capacities than Hi-D liners. The thickness of low-density liners is measured in mils. One mil equals one-thousandth of an inch. In general the larger the waste can, the more mils needed for the trash bag to support the weight load.
